Code of Conduct (Faculty)

  • Pursue excellence in acquisition of professional knowledge, skills and attitudes.
  • Maintain professional standards in executing their duties.
  • Perform their roles and responsibilities in a fair and ethical manner in accordance with institution and university policies.
  • Comply with statutory regulations like maintain Registration Number validity and engage in professional development activities to maintain competence.
  • Demonstrate good team work.
  • Use positive body language.
  • Treat colleagues and students with respect, civility , fairness and consideration
  • Comply with all workplace safety and health regulations and report unsafe conditions, equipment or practices to appropriate officials as required.

Class Room Code of Conduct

  • Commence class on time.
  • Finish class on time to avoid inconvenience to next faculty.
  • Use allotted instruction time efficiently.
  • Leave the classroom clean with board cleaned and LCD of if last lecture of the day.

Code of Conduct Towards Students

  • Respect student’s individual differences.
  • Don’t discriminate on the basis of age, race, nationality, religion, disability and gender.
  • Acknowledge students right to question and constructive criticism from learners and adapt to their needs.
  • Will not accept any benefits in the form of personal gifts from students directly or indirectly related to activity performed in one’s capacity as a faculty member.
  • When in a supervisory role provide clear direction, constructive suggestions and timely feedback.
  • Adhere to roles as intellectual guides and counselors.
  • Foster academic conduct among students and Avoid exploitation of students for personal work.
  • Maintain faculty student relationship.
  • Maintain confidentiality to private information of student.
  • Ensure to evaluate students true merit.
  • Evaluate promptly and give feedback and explanations to students appropriately.

Code of Conduct For Scholarly Integrity: Research and Publication

  • Follow the principles of authorship and co authorship while publishing.
  • Appropriately acknowledge in publications and presentations, those who have contributed to research.

Code of Conduct Towards Physical Property

  • Utilize the resources properly and maintain the resources properly.
  • Ensure college services such as telephone, internet, computer, photocopying is used for college purpose only.

Dress Code

  • Always wear ID card, keeping name and photo clearly visible.
  • Formal clean and well pressed attire.

Appropriate Attire:

For Female Faculty
  • Sari & blouses
  • Salwar Suit
  • Well combed hair tied or pinned.( No free flow )
  • Short fingernails and light makeup allowed.
  • Appropriate foot wear.
  • For Classroom and clinical Posting : Wear labcoat and hair tied up.( No pony tail)
For Male Faculty
  • Shirt (Full sleeves)
  • Pant (Trousers)
  • Well combed hairs (Normal)
  • Appropriate footwear
  • Wear labcoat
  • Clean shaving 

Inappropriate Attire:

For Female Faculty
  • Plazzos, legging’s, short tops, revealing clothing , jeans, sleeveless.
For Male Faculty
  • Jeans and T-Shirt
  • Tight Trousers

Unacceptable Conduct

  • Engaging in outside activities which will create an actual conflict of interest with the organizations vision and mission.
  • Divulging in non-public information regarding institution to an outside party or another institution.
  • Talking about another faculty member in front of students , instead encourage students to share concerns with the faculty member or the superior.
  • Sharing excess personal information about self to students.
  • Using official hours to promote personal, religious, political, social agendas.
  • Attending mobile phones in classrooms and meetings.
  • Carrying text books for lecture to class room.
  • Sitting while lecturing.
  • Publishing or presenting student research without their written permission and without acknowledging their names.
  • Indulging in plagiarism, falsification or any other scientific misconduct.
  • In subordination to superiors.
  • Falsification of official records.
  • Behavior intended to threaten or harass colleagues.
  • Failure to adopt to dress code.
  • Performing special favors’ to students.
  • Off the job conduct that may result in damage to reputation of the organization.

 

Code of Conduct (Students)

At College

 

  • Greet the authorities in the college and hospital premises.
  • Both parents and guardians are required to put their specimen signatures in the presence of the class teacher in the beginning of the academic year.
  • Daily attendance in college and clinical are compulsory. Attendance would be taken at the beginning and end of the day. If the attendance is not fulfilled as per the requirements, the students will not be eligible to appear in the final University examination.
  • Lunch break will be of half an hour only.
  • The students should maintain silence in the classroom, library and other rooms and in the corridors when lectures are in session.
  • If a student is required to get leave from the college or hospital in the middle of the day for an emergency, the student must get approval sanctioned from her class teacher or a supervisor and a letter must be produced from the parent/guardian.
  • The students should take every effort to take care of the college and hospital property and should help to maintain it. They should not scribble or write on the tables, chairs and walls.
  • Any damage to the property of the college and hospital will be dealt with as breach of discipline. In case of any damage the item to be replaced.
  • All required assignments needs to be completed and submitted on time. Marks will be deducted and necessary action will be taken for late submission.
  • Absenteeism or leave should be informed to class coordinators.
  • Students are not allowed to go outside of college premises during the college hours.
  • Take permission before entering staffroom as well as office.
  • Bunking of lectures is strictly not allowed.
  • The students should follow the prescribed dress code at the college and Uniform during the clinical.
  • College is not responsible for any loss or theft of gold and other expensive items.
  • Parents/ Guardians can visit college for the enquiry of some concerns/ information.
  • Do not disturb the college authorities in their personal number unless it is emergency.
  • Take prior appointment to meet the Director.
  • Parents or guardians must meet the Director whenever called.
  • All decisions taken by the Director are final.

 

Code of Conduct (Students)

At the Hostel

 

  • The students residing in the hostel should abide by the hostel rules in force from time to time, failing which strict disciplinary action will be taken.
  • Students are expected to keep their rooms clean and tidy and maintain excellent personal relations with other hostel mates.
  • All the students must devote 2 – 3 hours for studies each day. Follow the time table (Compulsory).
  • The students must occupy only the rooms allotted to them. They must sleep only on their own bed. Sharing of rooms is strictly not allowed.
  • Expensive gadgets, ornaments etc. are not permitted in the hostel. The institute will not be held responsible for any loss or theft. The students are instructed to take care of their personal belongings.
  • Conservation of energy and resources is a major concern and students are instructed to take adequate care for use electricity, water etc. Turn off electrical equipment’s, water taps when not in use. Room lights should be put off by 11.00 pm. Those who wish to study after 11 pm, can use the common study room.
  • In case, any student want to take a leave from hostel or commute from home for a specific period of time, a request letter need to be submitted through Parent/Guardian, submitted to warden, counter signed by the class coordinator and submitted for final approval of the Principal. The student may be allowed to become a day scholar for a short period if the reason is found genuine by the Principal.
  • All students should be present for the roll call at sharp 8:10 pm every day. Any absence must be reported to the Principal.
  • No student is allowed to remain in the hostel due to sickness without consulting a doctor at the OPD of the hospital in the campus.
  • Students must sign the hostel register at the time of leaving the hostel for outing / night out / day out and before entering the hostel.
  • Outgoing Passes

    1. Outgoing Passes: Outing pass only on Wednesday is allowed for only Ghanekhunt – Lote area. Consent from Parent / Guardian is necessary for places outside Ghanekhunt – Lote area. The outing days are:
      • Wednesday: 4 pm-7 pm for nearby market places with the permission of Principal.
      • Sunday: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm for visiting religious areas and Chiplun / Khed Marketing only.
    2. Overnight Pass: Only one overnight pass in a month is permitted.
      • The pass is issued from the administrative office which is numbered and signed by the issuing office clerk.
      • The student must submit the duly filled in and signed pass on Friday before 4:30 pm. The pass must be signed by the class coordinator and submitted to the Principal for approval.
    3. Visiting Hours: Only Guardians / parents are allowed to visit students. Visitors should meet the students only in the visitors lounge. Visitors are strictly not allowed in the hostel rooms.
      Visiting Timings are;
    4. Mess timings: Students should follow the below mentioned timing of breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner.

7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

NOTE:

    • Students must have all the meals in the central mess.
    • Outside food is not allowed in the hostel rooms.
    • Any complaints regarding the food should be informed immediately to the respective incharge.
    • Student should maintain their dress code while visiting central mess.
