MES College of Nursing Marks 11th International Yoga Day with Enthusiasm and Unity
International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21st to promote awareness about the significance of this ancient practice and to highlight its physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Yoga plays a vital role in calming the mind, strengthening the body, and enhancing the immune system.
To mark the occasion of International Yoga Day 2025, MES College of Nursing, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Rotaract Club of MES CON, celebrated the 11th anniversary of this global event with great enthusiasm. As part of the celebrations, the college organized a series of activities: Suryanamaskar competition and an Asana demonstration on June 17th , 2025; essay writing, slogan writing, and poster-making competitions on June 18th , 2025; Rangoli competition on June 20th , 2025 and a yoga demonstration at Shree Ramvardayini Vidyalaya And Junior College, Nirbade, Tal: Chiplun on June 20th , 2025. The celebrations culminated on June 21st , 2025, with a collective yoga session at the MES Institute of Health Sciences auditorium, where all teaching and non-teaching staff along with students participated in performing yoga.
World environment day 2025: “Ending Global Plastic Pollution”
The environment plays an integral role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem we live in. On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025 theme “Ending Global Plastic Pollution”, MES College of Nursing organised a special Sapling Plantation Ceremony to promote environmental awareness and sustainable living, on 5th June 2025, 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM at MES IHS, in association with National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of MES College of Nursing & Rotaract Club of MES College of Nursing.
On this occasion, the chief guest of the function was Mr. Mangesh Bapat, Mahamantri, Sanskar Bharati, Uttar Ratnagiri, Chiplun, President of the function was Prof. Milind M Kale, Principal, MES CON, Guest of honours Rtn. Shubam Kate, President of Rotary Club, Lote (2025-26), Rtn. Shashank Redis President of Rotary Club, Lote (2024-25), ZRR. Rtn. Tushar Khatate, Zonal Rotaract Representative of Ratnagiri Zone-3170 (2025-26). Mr. Santosh Thasale, Sarpanch, Ghankehunt-Lote., Vd. Utpat Sachin Vasant, Vice Principal, MES Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, and other guests includes Prof. Shivaparasad Halemani, Vice Principal, MES College of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Lingaraju AR, NSS Programme officer, MES College of Nursing, were honored on the stage.
Chief Guest of the function was Mr. Mangesh Bapat, Mahamantri, Sanskar Bharati, Uttar Ratnagiri, Chiplun, in his speech sir explained in detail about the Nano plastic which are invisible and how it enters to human body and cause health problems to all the living organisms on the earth. Rtn. Shashank Redis President of Rotary Club, Lote (2024-25), sir cleanliness should bring come our house first instead of telling government is responsibility in cleanliness of society. Vd. Utpat Sachin Vasant, Vice Principal, MES Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, sir explained about the importance of tress and how it is adhered with our Indian ancient culture. Mr. Santosh Thasale, Sarpanch, Ghankehunt-Lote, sir said difference between attitude and behavior in protecting the environment. And briefly described us about the green initiative taken by gram panchayat of Ghanekhunt-Lote. At the end after the formal function all the dignitaries, NSS Volunteers, Rotarctors planted the 20 saplings at MES Institutional garden to mark this memorable day.

The students put in their best efforts, and their hard work has paid off, with remarkable achievements. Mr. Nilesh Rathod has secured the first rank, followed by Ms. Bhakti Talekar in second place, and Ms. Sejal Gaikwad in third place. All students displayed outstanding dedication and commitment, giving their 100% in the exams, and their achievements are a true reflection of their determination.

Empowering Women: MES College of Nursing’s Special Celebration
Marking the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, MES College of Nursing and the Rotaract Club of MES College of Nursing organized a series of engaging programs to honor and celebrate women. The event aimed to recognize the achievements of women and inspire female staff and students. The morning session featured a special program with Mrs. Sampada Tai Parkar, a renowned social worker, as the guest of honor. Women excelling in the health and education sectors were also invited and recognized for their contributions. Honorees included Mrs. Sheetal Pawar (Lote PHC), Mrs. Snehal Salvi (Matron, Parshuram Hospital), Mrs. Mahadik (Teacher, Kavita Vinod Saraf High School), Mrs. Sushmita Patil (PRO, Parshuram Hospital), and Mrs. Meghna Gokhale (MES College of Nursing). Each of these remarkable women was honored for their dedication and achievements, with Mrs. Sampada Tai Parkar receiving special recognition for her impactful social work.
During her speech, Mrs. Sampada Tai Parkar highlighted the crucial role of women in society. She provided valuable guidance to students on maintaining safety and confidence in social settings. The session was skillfully moderated by Mrs. Smita Pednekar. Inter-Nursing College Marathon Promotes Health and Cancer Awareness on World Cancer Day
Health is wealth, and staying active is one of the best ways to prevent diseases like cancer. To mark World Cancer Day and spread awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention, SJVT’s Samarth Nursing College, Dervan, Chiplun, organized an Inter-Nursing College Marathon. The event aimed to inspire participants and the community to adopt a healthier lifestyle while educating them about the fight against cancer.Our college actively participated in this meaningful event, with students and teachers joining hands to support the cause. Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani and Mr. Mithun Divekar, Clinical Instructor, accompanied the students, guiding and motivating them throughout the marathon. Their presence and participation added immense value to the event.
In the boys’ category, Mr. Shubham Desai, a 5th semester B.Sc. Nursing student, showcased exceptional determination and secured the 1st rank in the 4 k.m. marathon. From the girls’ category, Ms. Sayali Gawade, a 1st year GNM student, made the college proud by achieving the 2nd rank. Their outstanding performances highlighted the importance of discipline, perseverance, and physical fitness. Adding to the inspiration, Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani successfully completed the 4 k.m. marathon, proving that fitness knows no age limits. Managing Stress: A Key to Success in Student Life
In today’s fast-paced world, stress has become a part of everyday life, especially for students. Balancing studies, exams, and personal life can be challenging, and managing stress effectively is crucial for achieving academic success and maintaining mental well-being. Understanding this need, MES College of Nursing organized a seminar on Stress Management on 1st February 2025, for its faculty and students.
The guest speaker for the event was Dr. Shrutika Kotkunde, an accomplished psychiatrist with qualifications including MBBS, MD Psychiatry, MRC Psych, Diploma in Public Health, and LLB. Dr. Kotkunde provided valuable guidance on how to cope with stress, sharing practical tips on how to study, manage time, and prepare for exams without feeling overwhelmed. During her engaging session, she emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy routine, adopting mindfulness practices, and seeking help when needed. She offered practical advice to students on improving concentration, managing academic pressure, and developing a balanced approach toward studies.
Her speech was highly interactive and motivating. As a seasoned professional, she simplified complex concepts, used real-life examples, and connected with the audience, making the session lively and informative. The students found her techniques easy to understand and highly applicable in their daily lives. The session received overwhelming appreciation from the faculty and students. Commitment to a Sustainable Future: College Takes a Step towards Environmental Education
The environment is the foundation of life on Earth, providing us with the essential resources we need to survive—air, water, and food. However, with the growing impact of human activities, our planet’s health is facing unprecedented challenges. To address these concerns and promote a sense of responsibility toward nature, our college observed World Environment Education Day on January 31, 2025. The event aimed to educate and inspire students and faculty to take active steps toward environmental conservation and sustainability.
We were honored to have Mr. Soham Anil Ghorpade, the Project Head of Sahyadri Nisarg Mitra, as our chief guest. He delivered an inspiring speech to our faculty and students, sharing valuable insights about the environment. During his talk, he explained how birds, animals, and nature play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystem. He also discussed how human activities are impacting the environment and what steps we can take to create a sustainable future. His message was clear: every small action counts, and we all have a responsibility to protect our planet. Through this program, our faculty and students gained a deeper understanding of environmental issues and the importance of conservation. His passion and knowledge motivated everyone to think about their role in preserving nature.

Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary Commemorated with Marathon at MES College of Nursing
January 12th is observed as National Youth Day in India to honor the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a revered spiritual leader, social reformer, philosopher, and motivational speaker. This day is dedicated to inspiring young minds by spreading Swami Vivekananda’s visionary thoughts and ideals. To mark this occasion, the Rotaract Club of MES College of Nursing organized an inter-nursing college mini-marathon competition on January 12th , 2025. The event aimed to emphasize the significance of physical fitness and overall health in the demanding pace of modern life. Conducted in the Lote MIDC area, the mini-marathon featured two race categories: a 5-kilometer and a 2-kilometer run.
The event commenced with a prayer to Goddess Saraswati, followed by a warm welcome extended to the dignitaries and participants. Mr. Mithun Divekar introduced the program and elaborated on the competition’s rules. The dignitaries in attendance included Ironman Dr. Tejanand Ganpatye, Mrs. Sanjana Burte (Sarpanch, Asgani), Mr. Chintamani Bedekar, Mr. Aniket Kate (ZRR, Rotaract Club Lote), Mr. Manish Wadkar (President, Rotaract Club Lote), Mr. Shashank Redij (President, Rotary Club Lote), and Mr. Tushar Khatate (Member, Rotaract Club Lote). Dr. Ganpatye and Principal Prof. Milind Kale officially flagged off the races, with the 5-kilometer race taking place first, followed by the 2-kilometer event. Medical support during the event was provided by Dr. Pradeep Vasambekar and Dr. Sandeep Girase from Parshuram Hospital. Refreshments, including breakfast and tea, were arranged for all attendees and participants.
The prize distribution ceremony marked the conclusion of the event, where the winners in various categories were honored. In the 5-kilometer boys’ category, Shubham Desai from MES College of Nursing secured first place, while Abhijeet Pawra from Samarth Nursing College, Dervan, achieved second place. In the 5-kilometer girls’ category, Pratiksha Kekane from Samarth Nursing College, Dervan, won first place, followed by Archana Jangle from the Institute of Nursing, Kasal, in second place. In the 2-kilometer boys’ category, Sahil Panchal from Saraswati Nursing College, Tondavali, secured first place, while Sanket Joshi from Samarth Nursing College, Dervan, took second place. Nikita Pawar from the Institute of Nursing, Kasal, won first place in the 2-kilometer girls’ category, with Sejal Jadhav from MES College of Nursing, Lote, securing second place.
A total of 124 participants from six nursing colleges across Maharashtra participated in the event, including Ramraje College of Nursing, Dapoli; Samarth Nursing College, Dervan; Saraswati Nursing College, Tondavali; Navnirman College of Nursing, Sangmeshwar; Institute of Nursing, Kasal; and MES College of Nursing, Lote. During the prize distribution, Ironman Dr. Ganpatye emphasized the importance of regular practice and perseverance in achieving goals. He encouraged the youth to work towards fulfilling Swami Vivekananda’s vision through initiatives like this. He also commended Principal Prof. Milind Kale and the organizing team for successfully planning and executing the event within a short timeframe. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Meghana Gokhale, followed by the National Anthem. 12 जानेवारी हा दिवस भारतामध्ये राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस म्हणून साजरा केला जातो. तरुणांचे प्रेरणास्थान असलेल्या स्वामी विवेकानंदांचा हा जन्मदिवस होय. समाज सुधारक,अध्यात्मिक नेते, तत्त्वज्ञ आणि प्रेरकवक्ते असलेले स्वामी विवेकानंद यांचे विचार जनमानसापर्यंत पोहोचवण्याचा हा दिवस.या दिनाचे औचित्य साधून रोट्रॅक्ट क्लब ऑफ एम इ एस कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंगने महाराष्ट्रातील नर्सिंग कॉलेज मधील विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी मिनी मॅरेथॉन स्पर्धेचे आयोजन दिनांक 12 जानेवारी 2025 रोजी केले.शरीराचे स्वास्थ्य आजच्या या धकाधकीच्या जीवनात अत्यंत महत्त्वाचे आहे आणि हा संदेश जनमानसापर्यंत पोहोचवण्याचा हा एक प्रयत्न होता. ही स्पर्धा लवेल एमआयडीसीच्या परिसरात पार पडली. दोन किलोमीटर आणि पाच किलोमीटर अशा दोन टप्प्यात ती पार पडली. या कार्यक्रमास आयर्न मॅन डॉ. तेजानंद गणपत्ये ,सौ.संजना बुरटे,सरपंच असगणी, श्री चिंतामणी बेडेकर,श्री अनिकेत काते झेड आर आर रोट्रॅक्ट क्लब लोटे,श्री मनीष वाडकर प्रेसिडेंट रोट्रॅक्ट क्लब लोटे, श्री शशांक रेडीज प्रेसिडेंट रोटरी क्लब ऑफ लोटे, श्री.तुषार खताते मेंबर रोट्रॅक्ट क्लब लोटे यांची प्रमुख उपस्थिती लाभली.
कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात सरस्वती वंदनेने झाली. सर्व मान्यवरांचे व सहभागी विद्यार्थ्यांचे स्वागत करण्यात आले. श्री.मिथुन दिवेकर यांनी कार्यक्रमाची प्रस्तावना केली व स्पर्धेचे नियम समजावून सांगितले. डॉक्टर गणपत्ये व प्राचार्य मिलिंद काळे यांनी फ्लॅग दाखवून स्पर्धेला सुरुवात केली. प्रथम पाच किलोमीटर व त्यानंतर दोन किलोमीटर अशा स्पर्धा पार पडल्या. परशुराम रुग्णालयाचे डॉ.प्रदीप वासंबेकर व डॉ. संदीप गिरासे यांनी वैद्यकीय मदत पुरवली. सर्व स्पर्धकांना व उपस्थितांना नाश्ता व चहा देण्यात आला.

Pride for MES College: First Prize in State-Level Poster Competition
MES College of Nursing, Ratnagiri, is delighted to announce the success of its State-Level Online Poster Competition held on 1st December 2024. The event was part of the 25th Silver Jubilee Celebration of MKSSBTINE and marked the observance of World AIDS Day. The theme, “Take the Right Path: My Health, My Right,” focused on the importance of making informed health choices and understanding the right to health.
We are proud to share that Ms. Sakshi Mangesh Jadhav, a 5th -semester B.Sc. Nursing student of MES College of Nursing, Ratnagiri, won the First Prize in this competition. Her poster was praised for its creative design and strong message, earning high appreciation from the judges.

Recognizing the transformative power of education, MES College of Nursing celebrated Savitribai Phule Jayanti on January 3, 2025, to honor the remarkable contributions of a visionary leader who championed women’s education in India.
The event began with a warm welcome and an insightful introduction by Ms. Vidya Bhalekar, a 5th semester B.Sc. Nursing student. She shared key highlights from Savitribai Phule’s inspiring life story, emphasizing her invaluable contributions to women’s education and empowerment. Following this, Mrs. Meghana Gokhale, Clinical Instructor addressed the audience, reflecting on Savitribai Phule’s legacy. She remarked, “Savitribai Phule was the first woman to advocate for girls’ education, taking immense efforts to establish the first school for girls in Pune. Her remarkable dedication continues to inspire generations.” Several students also delivered speeches on “The Contributions of Savitribai Phule”, providing insights into her early life and her transformative work for society and women’s empowerment.

Forensic Nursing and Indian Law: A CPD Initiative by MES College of Nursing
To enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing professionals in forensic care, the MES College of Nursing, Lote, in collaboration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council, organized a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program on 14th December 2024. The event saw participation from 94 nursing professionals representing various institutions.
The program commenced with a warm welcome and an inaugural ceremony, graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Bhimrao Pawar (MD Medicine, MES Parshuram Hospital and Research Center, Lote), and Mr. Chetan Ambupe (MNC CPD Observer and Vice-Principal of The Yash Foundation’s College of Nursing, Ratnagiri).
The sessions covered important topics such as forensic science, forensic nursing, the Indian Constitution, sources of law, and the role of nurses in forensic teams. Expert speakers, including Ms. Shashikala Rathod, Prof. Milind Kale, Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani, and Mr. Mallikarjun Neperi, shared valuable insights on evidence collection, crime scene management, constitutional rights, and legal frameworks in healthcare.
The program ended with participant feedback and a valedictory function. Attendees appreciated the event for its practical knowledge and relevance to their professional roles. Overall, the program was a great success in enhancing nursing professionals’ understanding and skills in forensic care.
Anatomy Exploration: Practical Learning Experience for 1st Semester B.Sc Nursing Students
As part of the 1st Semester B.Sc Nursing curriculum, a field visit to the Anatomy Museum at B.K.L. Walawalkar Rural Medical College, Dervan, was organized on 30th November 2024 to meet the curriculum objectives. The visit aimed to enhance their understanding of human anatomy through hands-on exposure to preserved specimens and detailed explanations by experts.
Dr. Pushpa Burate (HOD, Anatomy Department), Dr. Santosh Kumar Bhise, and Dr. Rohan Sonar guided the students during the visit. They explained the details of each preserved organ and the body preservation process (embalming). Dr. Bhise also described the structures of the organs, their blood supply, and related anatomy. Students had an interactive session with Dr. Bhise, who patiently answered their questions. He also demonstrated a dissected human body, explaining the origin and insertion points of muscles in detail. This visit provided valuable insights into human anatomy and enhanced the students’ understanding of the subject.
Inspiring Action: MES College of Nursing Takes the Lead on HIV Awareness
“Health is a right, not a privilege. Together, we can ensure that everyone has access to the care and support they deserve.” With this powerful message resonating across the globe, MES College of Nursing joined hands to commemorate World AIDS Day 2024 with the theme: “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!”. Recognizing the pivotal role of awareness in combating HIV/AIDS, the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing organized an impactful awareness program on December 2, 2024, at Parshuram Hospital And Research Centre, Ghanekhunt-Lote.
The event commenced with an awareness campaign held at Parshuram Hospital and Research Centre, Ghanekhunt-Lote. Nursing students visited various hospital departments, engaging staff, patients, and visitors, spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS, and inviting them to participate in the activities. The 4th Semester B.Sc. nursing students performed a role play depicting: modes of HIV transmission, methods of prevention and control, challenges faced by individuals living with HIV/AIDS, the importance of empathy and social support for those affected. The performance was interactive and effectively delivered key messages in a relatable manner. Nursing Students Champion Newborn Care Awareness at Shivbudruk PHC
The Department of Child Health Nursing at MES College of Nursing actively participated in National Newborn Care Week 2024-25 by organizing various programs aimed at spreading awareness and enhancing knowledge about essential newborn care. As part of this initiative, our nursing students conducted a health education session at Shivbudruk Primary Health Centre, Khed. The session targeted antenatal and postnatal mothers, addressing critical aspects of newborn care, including: Breastfeeding: Importance of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, Immunization: Significance of timely vaccines to protect newborns from preventable diseases, Hygiene: Proper practices to maintain cleanliness and prevent infections, Warmth for Newborns: Tips on keeping newborns warm to reduce the risk of hypothermia.
The program aimed to empower mothers with the necessary knowledge to ensure their babies’ well-being and create a healthier community. This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to contributing to public health through education and community outreach.
शिशु काळजीबाबत जनजागृती: एमईएस कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंगची महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका
एमईएस कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंगच्या चाईल्ड हेल्थ नर्सिंग विभागाने राष्ट्रीय नवजात शिशु काळजी सप्ताह 2024-25 मध्ये सक्रीय सहभाग घेतला. नवजात शिशु काळजीबाबत जागरूकता वाढवणे आणि ज्ञान वृद्धिंगत करणे या उद्दिष्टाने विविध कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. या उपक्रमाचा भाग म्हणून, नर्सिंग विद्यार्थ्यांनी शिवबुद्रुक प्राथमिक आरोग्य केंद्रात आरोग्य शिक्षण सत्र आयोजित केले. हे सत्र गर्भवती आणि प्रसूतीनंतरच्या मातांना उद्देशून होते, ज्यामध्ये नवजात शिशु काळजीचे महत्त्वाचे मुद्दे हाताळले गेले, जसे की: स्तनपान: पहिल्या सहा महिन्यांसाठी केवळ स्तनपानाच्या महत्त्वाबद्दल माहिती, लसीकरण: टाळता येण्याजोग्या आजारांपासून नवजात शिशूंना संरक्षित करण्यासाठी वेळेवर लस देण्याचे महत्त्व, स्वच्छता: स्वच्छता राखण्यासाठी योग्य सवयी व संसर्ग टाळण्याचे उपाय, उबदार ठेवणे: नवजात शिशूंना उबदार ठेवण्यासाठीच्या टिप्स, ज्यामुळे हायपोथर्मियाचा धोका कमी होतो.

Oath-Taking Ceremony and Lamp Lighting Held at MES College of Nursing
MES College of Nursing, part of the esteemed Maharashtra Education Society (MES), has been providing top-tier nursing education in the Lote region for the past 15 years. Upholding MES’s 165-year legacy of knowledge sharing, the college remains dedicated to shaping skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals.
On November 14, 2024, the college hosted the Oath-Taking Ceremony for first-year students enrolled in ANM, GNM, and B.Sc. Nursing programs. The event began with the ceremonial entry of students, followed by the traditional lamp lighting and Saraswati Pooja, marking the beginning of their professional journey.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of special guests, including Dr. Madhav Bhatt, Ophthalmologist and Head of Ophthalmology at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune, who presided over the event. Dr. Anita Nevase, District Judge, Ratnagiri, and Additional Sessions Judge, Chiplun, along with Dr. Praveen Jadhav, also graced the occasion. The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries: Dr. Vivek Kanade, Chairman of the College Advisory Committee for MES Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Adv. Principal Prof. Milind Kale led the students in taking the nursing oath and passed on the Light of Knowledge through their class teachers. The Principal also presented the Annual Report, highlighting the college’s progress and achievements.
A significant moment of the ceremony was the unveiling of Kshitij, the college’s annual magazine. Alumna Ms. Sonali Redkar shared her inspiring journey and encouraged students to embrace hard work and dedication to achieve success.
Adv. Sagar Nevase offered his congratulations to the students and their parents, while Dr. Anita Nevase spoke on the significance of nursing history, forensic nursing, and its legal implications, particularly in relation to POCSO laws. Dr. Madhav Bhatt concluded the ceremony by reminding students of the responsibility they carry in their future careers and wished them success. Meritorious students were recognized for their achievements during the ceremony. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Pragnesh Jangam and the recitation of Pasaydan.
The ceremony saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members, parents, and students. It was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Shamsundar Bhakare, Principal Prof. Milind Kale, and Vice Principal Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani.
Free Health Camp Organized by MES College of Nursing and Parshuram Hospital in Kondmala
From October 14 to 16, 2024 a special event was jointly organized by the NSS Unit of MES College of Nursing, Parshuram Hospital, Kondmala Gram Panchayat, and Adarsh School No. 1 Kondmala. On October 14, a free health check-up, hemoglobin, and blood group testing camp was held for school students, conducted by Dr. Sheetal Pudale, a pediatrician from Parshuram Hospital. On the same day, the NSS team completed a survey of six nearby villages, informing residents about the upcoming camp on October 16 through door-to-door visits.
The survey of the remaining five villages was completed on October 15, along with spreading awareness about the camp. The main camp was held on October 16, from 10 AM to 4:30 PM, at Adarsh School No. 1 in Kondmala. The event was attended and welcomed by the school management committee president, Principal Mr. Kadam, Gram Extension Officer Supriya Malgundkar, and member Mr. Vichare. During the camp, medical check-ups were provided by Dr. Mane (Eye Specialist), Dr. Sonali Rathod (General Medicine), Dr. Akshata Gujar (Panchakarma), and Dr. Umesh (Surgery), with free distribution of medicines. Additionally, NSS students carried out a cleanliness drive from the main road to the school.
This event was successfully completed with the active participation of the villagers, under the guidance of Dr. Shyam Bhakare (Director of MES IHS), Principal Prof. Milind Kale, and Prof. Dr. Lingaraju A.R.

एम एस कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंगचे एन एस एस युनिट , परशुराम रुग्णालय, ग्रामपंचायत कोंडमळा व आदर्श शाळा क्रमांक एक, कोंडमळा यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने दि. 14, 15 व 16 ऑक्टोबर 2024 रोजी एका विशेष कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन केले गेले. यामध्ये दि. 14 ऑक्टोबर रोजी शाळेतील विद्यार्थ्यांचे मोफत आरोग्य तपासणी व मोफत हिमोग्लोबिन व रक्तगट तपासणी शिबिराचे आयोजन केले गेले. या शिबिरात परशुराम रुग्णालयाचे बालरोगतज्ञ डॉ. शितल पुदाळे यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांची तपासणी केली तसेच या दिवशी कॉलेजच्या एनएसएस टीमच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी एकूण सहा वाड्यांचा सर्वे पूर्ण केला व घरोघरी जाऊन 16 तारखेच्या कॅम्पची माहिती दिली. दि.15 ऑक्टोबर रोजी उरलेल्या पाच वाड्यांचा सर्वे पूर्ण करण्यात आला व यादरम्यान कॅम्प ची माहिती देखील देण्यात आली.
दिनांक 16 ऑक्टोबर रोजी सकाळी 10 ते संध्याकाळी साडेचार या वेळेत आदर्श शाळा नंबर एक , कोंडमळा या ठिकाणी कॅम्पचे नियोजन केले गेले. शाळा व्यवस्थापन कमिटीचे अध्यक्ष, मुख्याध्यापक कदम सर,ग्राम विस्तार अधिकारी सुप्रिया मालगुंडकर , सदस्य विचारे सर या सर्वांनी कॅम्प साठी आलेल्या सर्वांचे स्वागत केले. या शिबिरात डॉ. माने नेत्ररोग तज्ञ, डॉ. सोनाली राठोड काय चिकित्सा, डॉ. अक्षता गुजर पंचकर्म विभाग, डॉ.उमेश शल्य विभाग यांनी रुग्ण तपासणी केली. शिबिरामध्ये मोफत औषधांचे देखील वाटप करण्यात आले. एनएसएसच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी प्रमुख रस्ता ते शाळा या मार्गावरची सफाई देखील केली.

“Fostering Safety: Anti-Ragging Initiatives at MES College of Nursing”
To foster a ragging-free environment and raise awareness about the detrimental effects of ragging, MES College of Nursing organized Anti-Ragging Week from August 12th to August 18th , 2024.
The week commenced with an orientation program led by Mrs. Sneha Sadvilkar, M.A. in Psychology, on August 12. She addressed the concept of ragging, its psychological effects on students, and the critical need for its prevention. Mrs. Sadvilkar familiarized students with the college’s anti-ragging policies, rules, and regulations, emphasizing the severe consequences associated with participating in ragging. She also informed students about the support services available, including the Anti-Ragging Cell, counseling services, helplines, and online complaint mechanisms.
In addition to the orientation, a series of competitions were held, including a Poster Competition, Logo Competition, Slogan Competition, and Role Play Competition, in which students actively participated. The week concluded with a documentary screening on anti-ragging, aimed specifically at all new students.
“MES College Promotes Public Awareness through Engaging Street Play”
On the occasion of World Heart Day, a rally was organized in Chiplun by Life Care Hospital, Onco Lifecare Center, and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited, in collaboration with MES College of Nursing. Aimed at raising awareness of cardiovascular health, this event focused on encouraging preventive care and lifestyle changes to combat rising heart disease cases.
Street plays were presented at key city locations, including the bus stand, Chinchanaka, and the Indira Gandhi Cultural Center. These performances emphasized the importance of regular heart care for a healthy life, underlining that “health is true wealth.” Through engaging demonstrations, the audience learned about practical steps to reduce heart disease risk, such as maintaining a balanced diet, exercising, managing stress, and regular check-ups.
Dr. Sameer Dalvi addressed the rally, highlighting the growing importance of community awareness in reducing heart disease. Workshop on Advanced Critical Care Nursing
Maharashtra Education society’s MES College of Nursing, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing has organized 3 days’ Workshop on advanced critical care nursing from 14th June 2024 to 16th June 2024 with an aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of student nurses in the field of advanced critical care procedures and surgical techniques.
The first session, was led by Dr. Ashok Sharma, Founder & CEO of Nursing Champs India, focused on advanced critical care procedures. The Session was included basic orientation of instruments, surgical supplies, and equipment. The training made it easier for the participants to comprehend how to handle and use the technique. The session were conducted by Dr. Ashok Sharma and supported by his team, Mr. Ranjeet Meena and Mr. Divyesh Makwana led a practice session on hands-on skills: Nursing procedures like drain care and emptying, Tracheostomy care, catheterization, suctioning, dressing, administering oxygen handling and configuring electronic devices such syringe pumps and infusion pumps, patient monitors, and mechanical ventilation such as NIV, IV cannulation, medication preparation and delivery, CVP catheter use and care, and suture materials and techniques were given hands on training to student nurses.
This workshop on Advanced Critical Care Nursing provides to be a comprehensive platform for student nurses to enhance their expertise in critical care and surgical procedures, ensuring better patient care outcomes in the future.

MES College of Nursing Ghanekhunt-Lote hosted on Health camp and teaching program centered on “PCOD” At the New English high school and Junior College Ambadas, organized by the Obstetrics and gynecology department of MES College of Nursing. This event garnered participation of 50 attendees students from standard 8th and 9th, including esteemed faculty members and headmistress of higher secondary. The health care team visited included the Gynecologist Dr. Ajayraj Bal, HOD of Obstetric and gynecologist department MES College of Nursing Mrs. Divya KM, clinical instructor Ms. Bushra Karjikar, clinical instructor Mrs. Archana Kamble an intern of PHRC and 5 students of 4th year B.BSc Nursing.
The event started by the welcome session by Mr. Chorge Vilas, Head master of New English high school, Ambdas and the bouquet was handed over to the respected dignitaries, the pretest question papers were handed over to the students after which the first session by Mrs. Archana Kamble was conducted on the topic PCOD causes, clinical features followed by lecture by Ms. Divya K M on the topic prevention of PCOD and the importance of the exercise was elaborated by Ms. Bushra Karjikar and the demonstration of the exercise was conducted under her guidance. Lastly Dr. Ajayraj Bal performed an informative session on early detection and management of PCOD. At the end of session posttest was taken. After awareness programme, history collection and health checkup conducted for the students.4 students were identified for primary amenorrhea and gynaecologist informed teachers to send them to Parshuram hospital for investigation with their parents’ permission.
MES College of Nursing Organized Continuous Professional Development Program on Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation (OSCE)
MES College of Nursing, Lote’ in Collaboration with ‘The Association of Management of Unaided Nursing Colleges’ organized a Professional Development Program on OSCE on December 20, 2023, which was a triumph with 136 participants. Themed around OSCE in nursing education, sessions led by experts like Prof. Lingaraju AR, Mr. Pradnesh Jangam, Assistant Professor, Ms. Tejasvini Kalekar Assistant Professor provided valuable insights. The online valedictory session, chaired by Dr. Meena Ganapathy, concluded with virtual certificates and participant reflections. Feedback highlighted excellence in organization, content, and online teaching methods, with strong endorsement for future participation. Suggestions included hands-on workshops and more insights into assessment and expert assistants’ roles. Overall, the program successfully enhanced participants’ OSCE understanding collaboratively and engagingly.
Alumni Meet 2023-2024
On 25/11/2023 MES College of Nursing has organized Alumni Meet. For these alumni meet the ANM, GNM, B.Sc., P.B.B. Sc., M.Sc. nursing student from batch 2007 to 2022 were invited.
During the meet, students from various courses gathered to share their MES experiences and professional journeys. The alumni also took a tour of the college campus, expressing their satisfaction with MES’s growth and development. They commended the college’s efforts in supporting student achievements.
To make the event more enjoyable, refreshments were provided to all the alumni. Post-lunch, current college students organized cultural events for the alumni. Additionally, the alumni offered valuable suggestions for the future development of the college.
The program concluded with Mr. Shivprasad Halemani, the Vice-principal and Head of the Mental Health Nursing department, presenting a report on the meet. Notably, the best alumni of the year were recognized from each nursing batch. Mrs. Sushmita Patil from the ANM batch, Mr. Suraj Mahadik from the GNM batch, and Mrs. Rakhi Dalvi from the B.Sc. Nursing batch were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions.
The event closed with gratitude extended to all the alumni, Dr. Shamsundar Bhakare, Director of MES HIS, Professor Milind Kale, and everyone involved for making the Alumni Meet a memorable occasion.
Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony 2023-2024
Maharashtra Education society’s MES college of Nursing organized Lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony of first year nursing students of ANM, GNM, B.Sc. Nursing Students on 22/12/2023. Dr. Anand Lele, Chairman, Board of Life member, visitor, College advisory committee was the president for the ceremony. Dr. Saloni S Wagh, Director, Supriya Life sciences Ltd. was the chief Guest of the ceremony and Ms. Shivani S Wagh, Director Supriya Life sciences Ltd was the Guest of honour for the ceremony. Dr. Neha Deshpande, Mrs. Pradnya Joglekar, Life Members of MES and Ms. Sapna Sukhdare, Alumni Representative, MES college of Nursing were the dignitaries for the ceremony.
Principal Milind Kale transferred the flame of knowledge to the class teachers and from him to the first-year students. Principal Milind Kale vowed to remove the darkness in the lives of patients with the lamp of knowledge and never break the vow of patient service.
Dr. Saloni Wagh and Dr. Shivani Wagh’s motivational speech left a lasting impact on the new nursing students, instilling a sense of purpose and enthusiasm for their chosen profession. The speaker’s wealth of experience and genuine passion for nursing provided invaluable insights for the student’s future endeavours. Ms. Sapna Sukhdare expressed her feelings about the college and said that she is very proud to be an alumnus of this college. In his address Dr. Anand Lele, made the students aware of the increased responsibility and wished them all the best for the future.

महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग व परशुराम रुग्णालय या दोन शाखा गेली पंधरा वर्षे लोटे या परिसरात कार्यरत आहेत. संस्थेच्या 164 व्या वर्धापन दिनानिमित्त एका महाआरोग्य मेळाव्याचे आयोजन करण्यात आले.दिनांक १८/११/२०२३ रोजी ग्रामपंचायत शेल्डी येथे सकाळी दहा ते दुपारी दोन या दरम्यान हे शिबिर पार पडले.या शिबिरात एकूण ८६ रुग्णांची तपासणी करण्यात आली. त्यांच्या रक्त व लघवीच्या तपासण्या करण्यात आल्या.तसेच मोफत औषधेही देण्यात आली.परशुराम रुग्णालयाच्या डॉ.प्रसाद गोखले, डॉ.प्रदीप वासंबेकर,डॉ.निकिता जाधव यांनी रुग्ण तपासणी केली. नर्सिंगच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी देखील आपले योगदान दिले.त्यामुळे या शिबिराला जास्तीत जास्त ग्रामस्थ उपस्थित राहू शकले व शिबिराचा लाभ घेऊ शकले.नर्सिंग कॉलेज तर्फे असि.प्रोफे.सृष्टी बंडबे, ऐशले फर्नांडिस यांनी या शिबिराचे नियोजन केले. या शिबिराला महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ हेल्थ सायन्सेस डायरेक्टर डॉ. श्याम भाकरे तसेच कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग चे प्राचार्य मिलिंद काळे यांचे विशेष मार्गदर्शन लाभले.
REPORT OF SEMINAR ON: “INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS”
On September 1, 2023, MES College of Nursing in Ghanekhunt-Lote hosted an enlightening seminar centered on “Intellectual Property Rights.” Organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, this event garnered participation from 145 attendees, including esteemed faculty members and enthusiastic students representing various educational institutions. Distinguished experts in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), such as Adv. Ganesh Hingmere, Adv. Vidyadhar Kulkarni, and Adv. Dr. Jyoti Bhakare, lent their expertise to enrich the discussions.
Adv. Vidyadhar Kulkarni delivered an insightful session on IPR, covering patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, and the legal foundations underpinning IPR. Adv. Ganesh Hingmire delved into the critical connection between innovation and IPR, addressing contemporary challenges, practical solutions, and the significance of Geographical Indication. Adv. Dr. Jyoti Bhakare emphasized the vital role of IPR in health sciences, using real-world case studies to underscore its relevance in healthcare and research.
Interactive discussions thrived throughout the sessions, ensuring that participants left with a profound understanding of IPR’s practical applications. The seminar concluded with a comprehensive recap of the day’s proceedings by Mr. Dhananjay Dongare, Assistant Professor. Mr. Mahantesh Karagi, Associate Professor, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the speakers, organizers, and participants, marking the conclusion of a highly productive and enlightening exploration of Intellectual Property Rights.
MES COLLEGE OF NURSING CONDUCTED WORKSHOP ON
ICH-GCP AND NEW DRUG CLINICAL TRIAL RULES 2019 [NDCTR-2019]
Research Cell of MES College of Nursing, Ghanekhunt-Lote, is organized one day workshop on “ICH-GCP Principles, ICMR Ethical Guidelines, and Ethics In Clinical Research” on 21st August 2023 at Seminar Hall, MES College of Nursing. Resource persons for workshop were Dr. Vineet Vinay and Dr. Chaitanya Buddhikot.
Formal Inaugural function was started at 09:30 am. Ms. Tejaswini Kalekar, Assistant Professor introduced the resource persons, Guests of the workshop. Professor Milind Kale, expressed the views regarding organization of this workshop, importance of workshop and its applications in research and opened the platform for the scientific sessions.
There were total 8 sessions conducted as per the predetermined schedule. The topics covered were exploring the ethical considerations in clinical research, good clinical practice, overview of regulatory agencies governing clinical research, introduction to ICMR ethical guidelines, components of informed consent, ethical challenges in clinical research, clinical trials & new drug trials role and functions of all members of the ethics committee members and registration of ethics committee. In this workshop total 36 participants were participated including ethical committee members, MES College of Nursing, teaching faculty of MES College of Nursing and MES Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya were present in the workshop. The valedictory function was conducted by Mr. Mahantesh Karagi, Associate Professor and also given vote of thanks to the resource person and participants.
REPORT ON “ANTI-RAGGING” WEEK CELEBRATION
On the occasion of Anti-Ragging week MES College of Nursing has organised various programmes from 12th August to 18th August 2023. On the first day i.e.,12th August sensitization about Anti-Ragging was done among nursing students by conducting a seminar. Mrs. Sneha Sadvilkar, M.A. Psychology, has spoken about psychological effects of Ragging among students. Further Adv. Akshaya Soman, L.L.M. Khed has explained regarding the various Anti-Ragging Act from 1996 and how changes taken place in those acts.
In the evening session Anti Ragging Cell of MES College of Nursing conducted Essay Competition on “Ragging and Its Effects”. Total 14 students from B. Sc. and P.B. B. Sc. Nursing participated in this competition. Best three essay displayed on the noticeboard.
Poster Competition was conducted on 14th August 2023 between 2 pm to 3 pm on the topic “Say No to Ragging”. Total 7 students of B. Sc. Nursing, P.B.B. Sc Nursing were participated in the poster competition.
On 17th August 2023 slogan Competition was arranged on ‘Anti- Ragging ‘between 1 pm to 2 pm. Total 13 students of B. Sc. Nursing, P.B.B. Sc Nursing were participated in the slogan competition.
To create awareness regarding ragging, Anti-Ragging Committee of MES College of Nursing shown documentary and film show on “Anti-Ragging” to the students of B. Sc. and P.B.B. Sc programme. This programme was coordinated by Mrs. Meghana Gokhale, C.I.
MES COLLEGE OF NURSING HOSTED STUDENTS EXCHANGE PROGRAM
As per Memorandum of Understanding [MOU], MES College of Nursing, Ghanekhunt-Lote, is organized two days “Students exchange program” with B. Sc [N] I semester students of Ramraje College of Nursing, Dapoli from 08/07/2023 to 09/07/2023 at B. Sc [N] IV Year Class room as per the predetermined schedule. The objective of the program was to conduct crash course on their subjects. Total 7 sessions was conducted on Applied Anatomy, Applied Physiology, Applied Psychology and Applied Sociology by Ms. Anjali Devlatkar, Mr. Ashley Fernandis, Mr. Dhanajay Dongare and Ms. Bushra Karjikar respectively. Total 30 B. Sc [N] I semester students were participated in the program. Mr. Mahantesh Karagi Coordinated whole programme.

MES College of Nursing celebrating Nurses Week from 12/05/2023 to 17/05/2023. On this occasion inauguration program of nurses week done on International Nurses Day -12th May 2023. Inauguration of Program done by the Prof. Milind Kale Principal MES College of Nursing, Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani vice Principal MES College of Nursing and Prof. Lingaraju AR, HOD Community Health Nursing.
Students from B.Sc. Nursing, GNM and ANM given speech on Nursing Profession, there experience about being part of this profession. Also teaching Faculty of MES College of Nursing motivated students with their valuable words. Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani, Vice Principal MES College of Nursing, remembered all the award winning nurses of India and guided the students how nursing Profession is unique. Program ended with the speech of Prof. Milind Kale, Principal MES College of Nursing. He inspired all the students and teachers. He quoted that how Discipline, Dedication and Determination towards the profession make Nurses important part of health care System. Innovation in technologies like robotics cannot replace the nurses and we all nurses are the Future of Our Profession. Lastly he encouraged the students to participate in all the competitions planned in Nurses week Celebration.

विद्यार्थ्यांच्या अंगभूत कलागुणांना वाव मिळावा तसेच अभ्यासाबरोबर त्यांच्यातील कलांचा विकास व्हावा यासाठी महाराष्ट्र आरोग्य विज्ञान विद्यापीठ, नाशिक दरवर्षी स्पंदन या कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करते व त्यांच्याशी संलग्नित सर्व महाविद्यालयांना यात भाग घेण्यासाठी प्रेरित करते. चालू शैक्षणिक वर्षात म्हणजेच २०२२ -२३ या वर्षातील स्पंदनचे नुकतेच आयोजन केले गेले. यात ललित कला या विभागात एम इ एस कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग च्या एकूण तीन विद्यार्थ्यांनी भाग घेतला होता. यात साक्षी जाधव या विद्यार्थिनीला ऑन दी स्पॉट पेंटिंग मध्ये दुसरे पारितोषिक मिळाले. पक्षी आणि पर्यावरण या विषयावर तिने पेंटिंग केले होते. त्याचप्रमाणे सुजल जोशी या विद्यार्थ्याला स्पॉट पोस्टर मेकिंग मध्ये तृतीय पारितोषिक मिळाले. मानव आणि पर्यावरण या विषयावर त्याने पोस्टर बनविले होते. विद्यापीठाच्या पारितोषिक वितरण कार्यक्रमात दोघांचा सत्कार करण्यात आला. एम इ एस आय एच एस चे डायरेक्टर डॉ.श्याम भाकरे,प्राचार्य मिलिंद काळे व सर्व शिक्षकांनी त्यांचे अभिनंदन केले.
MALARIA ERADICATION PROGRAMME
MES College of Nursing, Ghanekhunt-Lote organized Malaria Eradication Programme on 25th April 2023 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in collaboration with Primary Health Centre, Pirlote, at Grampanchayat Pirlote.
Student Conducted Rally, Road show and Health Education on this occasion. Primary Health Centre Pirlote has given the thanking letter for our college.

BLOOD DONATION
MES College of Nursing, Ghanekhunt – Lote organized Blood Donation Camp on 19th April 2023 from 10:30 am to 02:00 pm in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Lote. The chief guest of the program was Director of MESIHS and Principal of MES Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Dr. Shamsundar Bhakare, dignitary present for this program Principal of MES College of Nursing, Prof. Milind Kale, MES Parshuram Hospital & Research Centre, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Anupam Alman, RMO, Dr. Machindra Gowalkar & Interns, Dr. Ravi Agarwal, BKL Walawalkar Hospital and Research Centre, Grampanchayat Ghanekhunt-Lote Sarpanch Mr. Santosh Thasale, Rotaract Club of Lote President Mr. Makarand Solkar, ZRR Mr. Tushar Khatate, Assistant Governor Mr. Padmakar Sutar and all members of Rotaract Club, Lote were present for blood donation.
The program was started by lighting the lamp by all dignitaries. After that, the dignitaries were welcomed and the dignitaries inaugurated the program by greeting the blood donors. Blood donation was started at 11:30 am. In this, blood donors were registered by checking their weight, haemoglobin and taking complete information. There were 37 blood donors donated blood in this camp. Also, there was arrangement of refreshment after donating blood, to all the blood donors. The certificates were given to all blood donors.

WORLD HEALTH Day
THEME: HEALTH FOR ALL
MES College of Nursing celebrated World Health Day on 7th April 2023 in collaboration with Life Care Hospital, Chiplun. On this occasion Awareness Program conducted by 3rd Year B. B.Sc. Nursing Students at Life Care Hospital Chiplun, under the Guidance of Prof. Milind Kale, Principal, MES College of Nursing. Inauguration of Programme done by Dr. Khatib, Medical Director and Dr. Pardeshi, Medical Superintendent Life Care Hospital, Chiplun. In this programme 3rd Year B. B. Sc. Nursing Students Performed Street Play on Organ Donation Awareness for the OPD patients and Relatives.In that they discussed importance of organ donation and misconception regarding Organ Donation. Further Faculty members of MES College of Nursing elaborated the concept of organ donation, its need for the society.
Also Cataract and Thyroid Awareness is done on this day. In that poster and model exhibition is done by the students. Students made posters on prevention of these diseases, risk factors and etiological factors of these diseases, treatment modalities, types of Thyroid Diseases and care after Cataract Surgery.
Exhibition kept open for all visitors, Patient and staffs of Life care Hospitals.
WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY
YES WE CAN END TB
MES College of Nursing celebrated world tuberculosis day on 24th March 2023. On this occasion Medical Surgical Department organized Seminar on the theme YES WE CAN END TB. Inauguration of Program done by the Prof. Milind Kale Principal, MES College of Nursing and Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani, Vice Principal MES College of Nursing. Then Unfolding of the theme done by Mr. Jaivin Jaisingh, Associate Prof. MES College of Nursing. 1st year M. Sc Nursing Students conducted this seminar for all Nursing Students. They discussed various topics like Facts about tuberculosis, Tuberculosis among Children’s, Diagnosis of TB and Drug Resistance TB, Digital technology for TB and Multi sectoral accountability to end TB.
Students of MES College of Nursing Conducted awareness programme in the two hospitals at Chiplun. In that Performed Street play on tuberculosis awareness programme and health education on prevention of tuberculosis, diet for tuberculosis patient and DOT therapy at Life Care Hospital. Also Health education to the patient is given at Joshi Hospital, Chiplun on Oral health mission.
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’s DAY
Every year 8th March is celebrated as Women’s Day. This day was celebrated in MES College of Nursing. On this day the lectures was arranged for Housekeeping female staff of Institute of Health Sciences. Department of Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing arranged this programme. Miss. Snehal Pachupate explained about Cervical Cancer, Mrs. Jyoti Dhagale elaborated about Menopause, Miss. Anjali Devlatkar focussed on Breast Cancer and Mrs. Jyoti Dhagale demonstrated self breast examination. After this lectures we celebrated Haldikunku programme. Cake cutting was done by all staff members, Refreshment were given to all the staff members.

१२ जानेवारी हा स्वामी विवेकानंदांचा जन्मदिवस भारतामध्ये राष्ट्रीय युवा चेतना दिन म्हणून साजरा केला जातो. या दिनाचे औचित्य साधून एम.इ.एस. कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग, सेवा साधना प्रतिष्ठान व अमरजीत चव्हाण स्मृती प्रतिष्ठान यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने विशेष कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन केले गेले. स्वामी विवेकानंदांचे कार्य महाविद्यालयीन विद्यार्थ्यांपर्यंत पोहोचावे तसेच त्यांनी स्वामीजींच्या चरित्राचा अभ्यास करावा व त्यातून प्रेरणा घेऊन त्यांनी आपले आयुष्य घडवावे हा या कार्यक्रमा मागचा विशेष उद्देश होता. या कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात सरस्वती पूजन, स्वामी विवेकानंदांचे प्रतिमापूजन तसेच महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या आद्य संस्थापकांच्या प्रतिमांचे पूजन व सरस्वती स्तवनाने झाली. कार्यक्रमात प्रथम महाविद्यालयाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी स्वामी विवेकानंदांविषयी आपले विचार मांडले व त्यांच्या कार्याची थोडक्यात माहिती दिली. यानंतर प्राचार्य मिलिंद काळे यांनी आपले विचार मांडताना महाविद्यालयाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी विवेकानंदांचे विचार प्रत्यक्षात आणण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करावेत व त्यातूनच चांगले नागरिक घडतील अशी अपेक्षा व्यक्त केली. यानंतर सेवा साधना प्रतिष्ठानचे सचिव विनीत वाघे यांनी स्वामीजींचा जीवनपट उलगडून दाखवत एकाग्रतेचे महत्त्व, संकटांशी सामना करा, पळून जाऊ नका यासाठी स्वामीजींच्या जीवनातील घटनांचा अभ्यास करा असा संदेश विद्यार्थ्यांना दिला. या कार्यक्रमासाठी श्री. संदीप भाटिया, सचिव, सेवा साधना प्रतिष्ठान दादर, श्री. मानस घाडगे, सेवा साधना प्रतिष्ठान, श्रीमती. स्मिता जा गोष्टी सामाजिक कार्यकर्त्या, प्राचार्य मिलिंद काळे, डॉ. अमित पाटील, विभाग प्रमुख स्वस्थवृत्त विभाग एम. इ.एस.आयुर्वेद महाविद्यालय,श्री. लिंगराजू ए .आर. विभाग प्रमुख कम्युनिटी हेल्थ डिपार्टमेंट यांची उपस्थिती लाभली. याप्रसंगी महाविद्यालयाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी स्वामीजींचे विचार असणाऱ्या पोस्टर्सचे प्रदर्शन केले. या सर्व कार्यक्रमासाठी डॉ.श्याम भाकरे, डायरेक्टर एम. इ.एस.आय एच.एस. यांचे विशेष मार्गदर्शन लाभले.
WORLD AIDS DAY
On the occasion of World AIDS Day department of medical surgical nursing organized a Seminar for higher secondary students on 1st December 2022 at New English School and Jr. College Ambadas. Tal- Khed; Dist-Ratnagiri. Above 80 students, teaching and non-teaching staff were participated in seminar.
Seminar was based on WHO theme – World AIDS Day-2022 “Equalize”. The seminar was conducted by the medical surgical nursing department along with 1st year M.Sc. Nursing students to create awareness of HIV and AIDS among higher secondary students. The seminar was ended with question and answer session.
4th year B.Sc Nursing students organised “World AIDS day” during community health nursing posting at Khandatpali, Tal- Khed on 1st December 2022 In “Z.P. School” .The program was focused on “School students “.
Total 32 nursing students participated in this Programme. The students were divided into two groups with different point of discussion. One of the student representatives gave vote of thanks followed by that the headmaster of Z.P. School Mr. Bhuwad sir, the vote of thanks and conclude that program.

महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या १६२ व्या वर्धापन दिनाचे औचित्य साधून एम इ एस कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग मध्ये विविध कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन केले गेले. दि. १६, १७ व १८ नोव्हेंबर २०२२ रोजी निरनिराळया आंतर महाविद्यालयीन खेळाच्या स्पर्धाचे आयोजन केले गेले महाविद्यालयातील सर्व विद्यार्थी व शिक्षक यांनी यात मोठ्या उत्साहाने सहभाग घेतला.
दि. १९ नोव्हेंबर २०२२ रोजी वर्धापन दिनाच्या मुख्य सोहळयाचे आयोजन एम इ एस कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग मध्ये केले गेले या कार्यक्रमाचे अध्यक्ष स्थान प्रा. मिलिंद काळे यानी भूषविले तर प्रमुख पाहूणे म्हणून डॉ. विकास कस्तुरे, विभाग प्रमुख रसशास्त्र विभाग एम इ आयुर्वेद महाविद्यालया यांची विशेष उपस्थिती लाभली. कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात दिप प्रज्वलन, संस्थापक कै. वामन प्रभाकर भावे, आद्य क्रांतिवीर वासुदेव बळवंत फडके आणि कै. लक्ष्मण नरहर इंदापुरकर यांच्या प्रतिमांचे पुजन व सरस्वती वन्दनेने झाली. म ए सो चे गीत सर्वाना ऐकवण्यात आले. मान्यवरांचे स्वागत झाल्यावर महाविद्यालायातील विद्यार्थिनी, शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी यानी संस्थेबद्द्ल माहिती देत आपल्या या संस्थेतील अनुभवांचे कथन केले. प्राध्यापक मिलिंद काळे यानी आपल्या अनुभवांचे कथन करताना संस्थेची ध्येये व उद्दिष्टे विद्यार्थ्याना सांगितली व त्या दृष्टीने प्रयत्न करा असे आवाहन केले. डॉ. विकास कस्तुरे यांनी आपल्या अनुभवांची शिदोरी उलगडून दाखवताना महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटी मधील कामाचा अनुभव काम करत असताना मिळणारे व्यक्ती स्वातंत्र्य व मिळणारा आदर विशद केला यानंतर खेळाच्या स्पर्धेतील विजेत्या खेळाडूंचा प्रमाणपत्र देवून मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते गौरव करण्यात आला.
कार्यक्रमात यानंतर महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीची ध्वनी चित्रफीत दाखवण्यात आली.
आभार प्रदर्शनाने कार्यक्रमाची सांगता करण्यात आली.
एम. इ. एस. कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग मध्ये आद्यक्रांतिकारक वासुदेव बळवंत फडके जयंती साजरी
भारतीय स्वातंत्रत्र्याच्या इतिहासात सशस्त्र क्रांतीचा लढा देणाऱ्या अनेक स्वातंत्र्यवीरांमध्ये वासुदेव बळवंत फडके यांचे नाव अग्रक्रमाने घेतले जाते. अशा या थोर देशभक्ताचे स्मरण व्हावे आणि विद्यार्थ्यांना त्यांच्या कामाची माहिती मिळावी व त्यानिमित्ताने त्यांनी केलेल्या कार्याला मानवंदना या उद्देशाने त्यांचा जन्म दिवस एम. इ. एस. कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग मध्ये ४ नोव्हेंबर २०२२ रोजी सकाळी ११ वाजता कॉलेजच्या सभागृहात साजरा करण्यात आला. कार्यक्रमात सुरवातीला आद्यक्रांतिकारक वासुदेव बळवंत फडके यांच्या प्रतिमेचे पूजन श्री. शिवप्रसाद हळेमनी उपप्राचार्य एम. इ. एस. कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले. विद्यार्थ्यांनी आद्यक्रांतीकारकांच्या कार्याची माहिती दिली उपप्राचार्य शिवप्रसाद हळेमनी यांनी आद्यक्रांतिकारकांचे महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या उभारणीतील योगदानाविषयी विद्यार्थ्यांना माहिती दिली या कार्यक्रमाला महाविद्यालयातील शिक्षक, शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी आणि विद्यार्थी उपस्थित होते.
या कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्र संचालन कु. विद्या भालेकर या विद्यार्थिनीने केले.
WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
The world mental health day was organized by Department Of Mental Health Nursing, MES College of Nursing, on 10 October 2022. The program was initiated with provoking thoughts. While Unfolding theme Prof. Shivaprasad B.H. emphasize on Make Mental Health And Well Being For All A Global Priority. As a chairperson Prof. Milind Kale motivated all nursing student to maintain good mental health. The program was included with Guided imagery session by Ms. Reshma Sawant, Clinical instructor, Mental Health Dept. Total 40 no. of students were participated. Program ended with vote of thanks.
WORLD HEART DAY
“Use Heart for Every Heart”
World Heart Day was conducted at MES College of Nursing, from 19th September to 1st October 2022 for creating Heart Health Awareness. On this occasion department of Medical surgical nursing conducted various events like, hands on training for first year nursing students on basic CPR total 108 students undergone for training sessions, the panel discussion was held on the theme. The guest lecture was conducted by Mr. Mahesh Chendake, Associate Professor, Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences, Karad on “Artificial Intelligence on Cardiovascular Disease Management”. Nursing students performed mime act regarding does and don’ts for healthy heart. Later to promote research activities, research article presentation was conducted for nursing students and the students were actively participated in the presentation. On this occasion the faculty and students of MES College of Nursing conducted community health awareness programme in which they provided health education followed by Blood Pressure checkup camp at Bus Stand Chiplun, Also nursing students prepared various models on Cardiovascular system total 15 models were prepared and presented.
INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING
“International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking” on the theme “Addressing drug challenges in health and humanitarian crisis” on 2nd July 2022 was organized at MES College of Nursing. Prof. Shivaprasad Halemani, Vice-Principal and HOD Department of Mental Health Nursing unfold the Theme. Later a session on the theme “Addressing drug challenges in health and humanitarian crisis”.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
“International Yoga Day” organized on 21st June 2022, at MES College of Nursing undertaken various activities. The programme was started with prayer song total 204 nursing students were performed yoga. On this day MES College of Nursing, conducted a yoga demonstration program at Kavita Vinod Sara High School, Ghanekhunt Lote, for creating awareness about the yoga and its benefits in which total 322 students were participated of class 5th to 10th standard. MES College of Nursing also conducted a yoga demonstration at life care hospital Chiplun, in which 38 hospital staffs performed yoga. MES College of Nursing organized Yoga demonstration competition and poster competition on yoga for nursing students. Total 19 students were participated in Yoga demonstration and 16 posters presented by the students and the ranks was awarded to the students and for other participants presented the certificate of appreciation.
SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN
MES College of Nursing conducted a “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” activity under the NSS at Sri Kedarnath Mandir of Ayani village, Khed Taluka, on 25th May, 2022. On this day students cleaned both front and backyards of Sri Kedarnath Mandir premises, in addition to this gardening of temple premises was also done. The 1st year nursing students and NSS volunteers were actively participated. Later wastes are disposed at safe place.
