MES College of Nursing Ghanekhunt-Lote hosted on Health camp and teaching program centered on “PCOD” At the New English high school and Junior College Ambadas, organized by the Obstetrics and gynecology department of MES College of Nursing. This event garnered participation of 50 attendees students from standard 8th and 9th, including esteemed faculty members and headmistress of higher secondary. The health care team visited included the Gynecologist Dr. Ajayraj Bal, HOD of Obstetric and gynecologist department MES College of Nursing Mrs. Divya KM, clinical instructor Ms. Bushra Karjikar, clinical instructor Mrs. Archana Kamble an intern of PHRC and 5 students of 4th year B.BSc Nursing.
The event started by the welcome session by Mr. Chorge Vilas, Head master of New English high school, Ambdas and the bouquet was handed over to the respected dignitaries, the pretest question papers were handed over to the students after which the first session by Mrs. Archana Kamble was conducted on the topic PCOD causes, clinical features followed by lecture by Ms. Divya K M on the topic prevention of PCOD and the importance of the exercise was elaborated by Ms. Bushra Karjikar and the demonstration of the exercise was conducted under her guidance. Lastly Dr. Ajayraj Bal performed an informative session on early detection and management of PCOD. At the end of session posttest was taken. After awareness programme, history collection and health checkup conducted for the students.4 students were identified for primary amenorrhea and gynaecologist informed teachers to send them to Parshuram hospital for investigation with their parents’ permission.
