On September 1, 2023, MES College of Nursing in Ghanekhunt-Lote hosted an enlightening seminar centered on “Intellectual Property Rights.” Organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, this event garnered participation from 145 attendees, including esteemed faculty members and enthusiastic students representing various educational institutions. Distinguished experts in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), such as Adv. Ganesh Hingmere, Adv. Vidyadhar Kulkarni, and Adv. Dr. Jyoti Bhakare, lent their expertise to enrich the discussions.
Adv. Vidyadhar Kulkarni delivered an insightful session on IPR, covering patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, and the legal foundations underpinning IPR. Adv. Ganesh Hingmire delved into the critical connection between innovation and IPR, addressing contemporary challenges, practical solutions, and the significance of Geographical Indication. Adv. Dr. Jyoti Bhakare emphasized the vital role of IPR in health sciences, using real-world case studies to underscore its relevance in healthcare and research.
